In 2009 our son little Noah was assessed and we discovered that high functioning autism was going to be a part of our families life. It then became clear that we had disciplined and tried to help him in non productive ways. For years we ha no idea what we were dealing with. I was upset with myself as a father and husband.

Sitting on the plane flying back to Southern California I am filled with gratitude.
The trip began with my family and I staying at the Polynesian Resort for a night before heading to the ship the day after. The Polynesian was incredible. If you are a fan of Hawaii and the island it’s a must. Disney Imagineers outdid themselves. Incredible layering and details.

There are two ways to approach life: proactive or reactive. Most of us take career, parenting, making art, doing a hobby and take whats given to them by allowing circumstances to dictate their outlook. This creates living life as a victim and living life on others standards not your own. We each have the choice to allow circumstances to dictate our feelings about ourselves or we can choose to take a proactive approach to making things happen. This shift can be one of the most liberating choices and results you will ever have.

It’s incredible the noise and hurry of life. Technology hasn’t helped but make life quicker. Although its more efficient and you can accomplish more things, we use this power to add more into a space that was supposed to be emptied.
